Caregiver Support – Home Caregiver Support Program (Online)

April 30, 2020 Posted By AHPCA

St. John Ambulance and The Order of Saint Lazarus are pleased to provide you with an online training program to enhance your capacity as a non-professional home caregiver and understanding of how to support a person who is in the end stage of life. The online training program is offered on a unique learning management system that incorporates all facets of multimedia creating an engaging learning experience.

The Home Caregiver Support Program provides information that addresses the needs caregivers face as they provide care for family members, or friends suffering from chronic or terminal illness within the confines of their own home. An introductory module explains the course and what palliative care is. This is followed by optional modules that speak to specific needs that are commonly present in palliative or hospice care.
