Airdrie: Spring Grief Support Program
April 8 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pmFREE
The Airdrie and District Hospice Society is offering another free Grief Support Program beginning next month for adults grieving the loss of a loved one. The program, which is designed for small groups of adults, will be run by trained volunteer facilitators and will use the Alberta Health Service’s curriculum developed by Bob Glasgow.
“Dealing with the death of someone close to you is not easy,” noted Wendy Timmermans, a board member with the Hospice Society. “We can gain much from others in the same situation and can benefit from learning some healthy ways to move through those intense emotions.”
Sessions will be held online via Zoom on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 7:45 pm beginning on April 8th and running until May 20th, 2021. This format is in accordance with provincial health regulations and does make it easier for participants who may live a distance outside the city of Airdrie.
This will be the last program offered by the Hospice Society until the fall. Those interested in this program may register at www. airdriehospice.ca or call 403-880-0420 for more information.
