Calgary – Parks and Nature at the End of Life

January 23 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

FREE

Learn about the role parks and nature can play in palliative care, grief and loss, and memorializing. Join us for a screening of a short documentary film by researchers Jennell Rempel and Sonya Jakubec, followed by a discussion of their stories, research discoveries, and possibilities for you to integrate nature into end of life experiences. In partnership with Mount Royal University and Alberta Parks.

The organizers have located us in a lovely large theatre, so feel free to bring your class, department, group or friends for an inspirational learning/living event. All are welcome and it is free and open to the public – no registration is required.  It would be great to see you there, and please feel free to promote widely to whoever you think would be interested!

Location: Calgary Central Library, Level 1 Patricia A. Whelan Performance Hall
