Public Conversations About Palliative Care

May 18 @ 10:00 am - 10:30 am

Pilgrims Hospice Society is proud to present Public Conversations about Palliative Care. Every third Tuesday of each month join us with a guest speaker for a presentation, discussion and Q&A.

Join us for our virtual conversation May 18 from 10:00-10:30am

Sarah Karesa is Registered Psychologist and Grief Counsellor at Pilgrims Hospice Society as well as an associate faculty member with City University of Seattle’s Edmonton Campus. Her areas of professional interest include teaching, hospice palliative care, issues pertaining to end-of-life, grief and loss, and counselling all ages in individual and group settings. When she is not working, she can often be found playing board games, watching cartoons, or doing arts and crafts activities.

A common misconception is that hospice is a place for people who have given up and lost hope. In realty, this is far from the truth. Sarah will host a conversation on the ways that hospice can inspire hope and offer peace, comfort, and security at end-of-life.
